Material Comparison: HNBR vs. Others


 

HNBR vs NBR (Standard Nitrile):

While NBR is suitable for basic oil-resistant applications at low temperatures, it degrades quickly when exposed to ozone or temperatures above 100 degrees Celsius. HNBR provides a much wider temperature range and vastly superior resistance to weathering and modern oilfield chemicals that would cause NBR to harden and crack.
